National Cadet Corps [NCC]

About NCC

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a premier youth organization functioning under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It aims to develop character, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service among students. NCC provides a suitable environment for the all-round development of cadets through training, camps, social service and community development activities.

NCC motivates students to become responsible citizens by instilling patriotism, unity and a sense of commitment towards the nation. It offers opportunities for cadets to participate in drill, weapon training, adventure activities, national integration camps, awareness programmes and community service. Through NCC, students gain confidence, leadership qualities, organizational skills and physical fitness that help them in both personal and professional life.

Participation in NCC also opens avenues for students to serve the nation and prepare for careers in defence and public service. The training helps cadets understand the values of teamwork, discipline, time management and social responsibility while contributing positively to society.
