The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is NBA & NAAC accredited with an approved intake of 180 students. The department has an overall student strength of around 600 and is supported by 32 qualified faculty members. A Department Library has been established with a rich collection of personality development books and career-oriented learning resources to strengthen students' professional growth.

The department has talented students with excellent technical knowledge and soft skills. Their academic performance deserves special appreciation. More than 40 final-year students consistently maintain a CGPA of 7.5 and above without any history of arrears, demonstrating the department's commitment to academic excellence.

Being an autonomous institution, the department has the flexibility to introduce placement-oriented and skill-based courses along with the regular curriculum. Placement training programmes are conducted from the early semesters to enhance students' employability. The training includes Technical Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Communication Skills, Group Discussions, Coding Practices and Mock Interviews.

The department also focuses on emerging technologies including Renewable Energy Systems, Electric Vehicles, Industrial Automation, PLC & SCADA, Internet of Things (IoT), Power System Simulation and other industry-oriented domains. Students are encouraged to undergo certification programmes, internships and industrial training to strengthen their practical exposure.
